Our Assessment: Production of the BLR began in the 1960s. The original “Model 81 BLR” revision had a steel receiver, which was changed to an aluminum alloy receiver with the introduction of the “Model 81 Lightning BLR” in 1995. The rifles are made in short-action and long-action models to accommodate a variety of calibers and are available with a straight-grip or pistol-grip stock. This is a Browning BLR White Gold Medallion, beautifully crafted with rose wood capped AAA maple stocks, a stainless steel barrel and a satin nickel finished aluminum alloy frame. The frame features beautiful floral scroll engraving. You don’t want to pass up the chance to take this one home. Please see our photos and good luck!
