Markings: The right side of the frame is marked “SPRINGFIELD INC / GENESEO IL USA / LW 111192”. The right side of the slide is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” followed by the Springfield Armory crossed cannon logo. The top of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “S.A. .45ACP”. The left side of the slide is marked “OPERATOR / CAL. 45”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon serrated blade with a tritium lamp and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a serrated square notch lo-mount sight and is dovetailed into the slide; it also has a set screw. The front lamp is bright and easily acquired in low-light environments.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are double diamond checkered wood panels with crossed cannon logos. There are some little scuffs and light scratches, most noticeable on the smooth diamonds. There are a couple of little dings through the finish on the bottom of the right panel. There is a thin hairline crack on the left panel up at the top. The checkering is strong. The grips rate in about Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The slide stop and thumb safety have been replaced. There is some thinning on the edges of the slide. There are some light scuffs on the slide. There is some finish loss on the edges of the grip safety. There is wear on the rail from previously installed accessories. There are a few spots of wear on the front and backstrap. There is a light takedown mark on the frame. There are light handling marks. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are strong. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a 7-round mag, LA Police gear soft case, and a pair of tan VZ Grips Operator grips. The grips have a few light marks and rate in about Fine condition.
Our Assessment: This is a great tactical pistol with a skeletonized trigger and hammer, beavertail extended grip safety, aftermarket extended, aftermarket extended slide stop, thumb safety, full-length guide-rod, lo-mount night sights, and forward slide serrations. With its steel and alloy construction and rail, this will make a nice pistol for carry. The pistol is in Fine condition and comes with an additional set of grips, one magazine, and a soft case, ready for carry, competition or recreational target shooting. Without going the fully custom route, this is about the best 1911 you can get. Please see our photos and good luck!
