Our Assessment: Kimber has always put out a great product, and their .17 Mach 2 version of the classic 1911 is nothing to put a passing glance at. The fit of the parts is excellent. Exactly what you expect from an American manufactured 1911, not like the stuff you get from Brazil or the Philippines. Kimber was founded with the singular purpose of building fine sporting firearms, better even than classics from the golden age of American gun making. Modern manufacturing techniques would be embraced and used to advantage, but assembly, fit and finish could only depend on practiced hands. There would be no compromise in features, materials, or performance. This pistol will make for a fun and accurate shooter. Overall, we rate this gun in Excellent Condition.
