There are a couple of nicks on the right of the frame below and behind the loading gate. There are a few other scattered minor marks. The .22 Magnum cylinder has very faint turn-wear, the .22 LR cylinder has slightly more noticeable turn-wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder has barely perceptible play on each chamber of both cylinders. The trigger is crisp. We have not fired this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a two-piece cardboard Colt Frontier Scout box with cutout for the gun and additional cylinder. The box has scattered light-moderate wear, tears at a couple of corners and discoloration from age and oil. There is no visible serial marking on the box.
Our Assessment: The Frontier Scout is a scaled down version of its predecessors/grandfathers, the SAA and Frontier Six Shooter. Still made by colt and true to the original design, this one was made in 1969 and is the ’62 model, chambered in the ubiquitous .22 Long Rifle cartridge in one cylinder and the more powerful .22 Magnum in the other. This example is in Fine condition with light handling and operational wear, a great bore and strong mechanics. This should make a fun little plinker for the lucky winner. It also comes with a Colt Frontier Scout box, so it may find interest with the Colt collectors. Please see our photos and good luck!
