Our Assessment: This is a beautiful double gun from Pedersoli. The name Kodiak is appropriate as the .45-70 Gov’t rifle barrels would be suitable for hunting bear, and with full loads, it’s gonna be a bear to shoot! Also included is a 12 gauge shotgun barrel set, making this a versatile gun that can be used for both terrestrial and avian game. The gun has classic styling with a coin finish on its external hammer action, browned barrels and decorative engraving which includes a cape buffalo on the trigger plate and silver inlay at the barrels’ breech-ends. The gun is in Fine-plus condition, showing little sign of use. It’s beautiful styling and great condition will make for a great gun for hunting or to add to a collection.
