Our Assessment: The Remington 742 Woodsmaster was made from 1960 to 1980, as a reliable and easy to point semi-automatic rifle with removable magazines, this one was made in 1978 and has about 90% of the blue finish remains. There are some scatered areas of oxidation on the metal and the bore has a few spots of erosion, but this rifle should still be capable of nice groups. This one comes with a scope and a single magazine to get you started. Please see our pictures and good luck!
