Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “MODEL 1911-A1 / CAL .45″. The right side of the slide is marked with the crossed cannon logo “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY”. The right side of the frame is marked “SPRINGFIELD / GENESEO IL USA / NM98218”. The top of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “KART 45 NM”. The front of the barrel bushing is marked “7267718 / N M”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Patridge blade and is fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a serrated Millet square notch target sight and is dovetailed into the rear of the slide and also has two set screws.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a checkered black rubber Pachmayr wraparound grip. The checkering is strong and there is light handling wear. There are no rips or tears. The grips rate in Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original to Tussey Customization
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is some stubborn fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some scattered little rubs and scuffs, some have lightly thinned the finish. There is some light thinning on some of the edges, most noticeable on the front of the slide. There is some standard operational wear. There are some light handling marks. The screw heads show light use. The markings are clear and crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions properly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a blue Springfield Armory case with no serial number and a 7-round magazine.
Our Assessment: This is a nice Tussey Custom 1911-A1 with a skeletonized hammer and trigger, indexing bump beavertail extended grip safety, checkered straight mainspring housing with an extended magazine well, full-length guide-rod, national match barrel bushing, Kart barrel, a Patridge front sight and a Millet target sight. Even more impressive is the modification to the rear of the slide where the rear sight is mounted, material has been removed and the rear sight dovetail has been contoured to match. The pistol has some light wear, a crisp trigger and a nice bore. We didn’t shoot this pistol but sure wish we did. The pistol is in about Fine Plus condition and comes with its a case and a magazine, ready for carry, competition, or recreational target shooting. Please see our photos and good luck!
