Our Assessment: This reproduction of the Fusil de chasse is a 20 gauge muzzle-loaded flintlock musket. The original Fusil de chasse was a French musket which was designed for hunting in the late 17th century. It was distributed by the French to their American Indian allies. The muskets were produced at a number of arsenals in France including the Tulle Arms factory, the Tulle style is reproduced with this particular replica. This is a fun musket that black-powder enthusiasts will not want to miss out on!
