Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 94 30-30 WIN. / MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. The right shoulder of the barrel is marked “LONE STAR COMMEMORATIVE”. The upper tang is marked “UNDER SIX FLAGS”. The grip cap is marked “WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS” around the circumference and “TEXAS”. The sides of the receiver have stars lining the borders and on the left side, there is a star in the middle of “1845” and “1970”. The right side of the buttstock has an inlay with the heads of six prominent Texans and is marked “LONE STAR COMMEMORATIVE”. The bottom front of the receiver is marked with the serial number “LS34734″ & “LS34735”.
Barrel Length: 26” & 20″ Half Round, Half Octagonal
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a tall beaded blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a U-notch elevator sight that is dovetailed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle stocks are two-piece smooth wood with a capped forearm, capped pistol grip, fluted straight comb, carbine style buttplate. The wood shows hardly a mark. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate, which shows scattered finish loss. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.
The carbine stocks are two piece smooth wood with a capped forearm, capped pistol grip, fluted straight comb, carbine style buttplate. There is some ever so slight play between the buttstock and wood. There is the tiniest amount of material loss at the toe. There are a few other faint handling marks. There are no cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate, which shows scattered freckles of finish loss. The stocks rate in about Fine-Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: Both bores are bright with sharp and deep rifling. There is no erosion in the bores.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 96% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows faint little scratches on the receiver and lever. There is some oxidation on the top of the bolt. There is very light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine-Plus condition.
The carbine retains about 94% of its metal finish. There are sparse little spots of light surface oxidation scattered throughout the barrel as well as some on the front and rear sight. The receiver and lever show faint scratches. There is very light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this carbine rates in about Fine overall condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle or carbine. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: These guns come in their original boxes with a myriad of original paperwork. The boxes consist two foam pieces within a cardboard sleeve. The sleeves show rips and tears at both ends.
Our Assessment: This Winchester 94 Lone Star Commemorative rifle/carbine pair lever-action rifles that fire the .30-30 round. They have a gold-toned receiver with a blued round/half octagon barrel. They were manufactured in 1970 to commemorate Texas, with only 55,259 produced (total rifles & carbines). They have an adjustable rear sight and a saddle ring. Gold highlights include the receiver with engraved stars, the lever, the cap on the magazine tube, the fore tip, and the curved butt plate. They each have a Lone Star Commemorative medallion in the stock and etchings which include: TEXAS, 1, and Under Six Flags. These rifles rate in about Fine-Plus and Fine condition respectively.
