Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “PIETRO BERETTA”, “GARDONE V. T. CAL.380 – MADE IN ITALY”. The right side of the slide is marked “BERBEN CORPORATION N.Y. – N.Y. – MOD.84 – PATENTED”. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number “B14545Y”. The right side of the frame is marked “PB”, and the right side trigger guard bow is marked with an Italian proof mark, and “AD” date code.

Barrel Length: 4 3/4”

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch hand painted white dovetailed into the slide.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood panels. Both panels show minor nicks and compressions, the majority of which are on the left panel. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Very Good-to-Fine condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but light stubborn fouling persists in the grooves.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is minor thinning on some edges of the slide and a few light nicks on the top. The barrel has a bit of operational wear. The screws show light tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. The single action is crisp, and the double action is smooth. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This Model 84 includes a blue Beretta snap case with a non serial-matching outer blue box, one (1) 13-round magazine, and a manual.
