Our Assessment: The Model Seven is Remington’s attempt at a less expensive but high-quality bolt-action rifle. The main difference was the design of the receiver which is pretty much a miniaturized 700 receiver and is optimized for short action calibers. Upon picking up this rifle the quality is apparent and they certainly achieved making a high-quality rifle for a more budget-minded price. With its blued finish, durable synthetic stock, and a Tasco scope, this rifle is ready for just about anything and at 6 lb 9 oz can be carried all day. Please see our photos and good luck!
