Markings: The barrel is marked “PARKER-HALE LTD. BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND”, “IMPORTER JANA DENVER COL”, and “CAL 22/250”. There is a crown over “BNP” proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver.

Sights / Optics: This front sight is a hooded brass beaded blade atop a serrated ramped riser that is fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight has been removed leaving an empty dovetail. The top of the receiver is equipped with a two-piece leupold-style rail system.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece Weatherby-style skipline checkered walnut with a high gloss finish, a raised cheekpiece comb, and a capped pistol grip with right palm swell. There is a ventilated brown rubber recoil pad marked “PH / ENGLAND” mounted on the butt with a white and black spacer. There is a rosewood grip cap with tan spacer and a tan diamond shaped piece of wood inlet into its bottom surface. There is also a rosewood nose cap with a tan spacer. There are sling swivel studs in the belly and on the forend. There are some small nicks and a few tiny compressions on the buttstock. There is some light finish loss at the rear of the right side of the buttstock. The checkering is strong and intact. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14” and 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad and wood, respectively. The pad shows light wear and is pliable. The stock is in Fine-Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with a small amount of faint erosion. The rifling is sharp.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some finish discoloration on the top of the barrel. There are some evenly scattered tiny nocks and faint lines throughout the metal. There is light thinning at the muzzle. The screw heads are sharp with serviceable slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is a high quality and nice looking sporting rifle that was finely made in England and chambered in .22-250 Remington. This caliber is perfectly effective for just about anything you’d ever want to shoot. It’s condition is good and it will make a great field gun or a beautiful range piece.
