Our Assessment: Browning is not the only company to have found that Japan has some high quality firearms manufacturers. In the late ’60s and ’70s, Ithaca also contracted to have side-by-side shotguns made for them, choosing SKB rather than Miroku. The result is a fine-quality double gun with graceful lines, a nice balance and of course, strong mechanics. The Ithaca SKB model 100 is prized by hunters, sportsmen and even competitors in Cowboy Action Shooting for its craftsmanship and durability. This one is in Very Good condition and shows signs of honest use in the metal. The stock has repaired breaks in the top of the wrist and you may wish to replace the buttstock if you’re going to put this gun to heavy use. Please see our photos and good luck!
