Our Assessment: The New Frontier .22 is a scaled down version of the famous Colt Single Action Army and its adjustable sighted cousin, the New Frontier Single Action Army. It is the same as the .22 Peacemaker, except with a flat top, a ramped front sight and adjustable rear sight, giving it a slightly more modern appearance. This model was selected for Colt’s “The Duke” John Wayne Commemorative in 1984, a tribute to possibly the most famous Western movie actor of all time. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Colt collectors and for fans of John Wayne, “The Duke”. Please see our photos and good luck!
