Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “.22-250 REM.” The left side of the receiver is marked “Howa Model 1500 / MADE IN JAPAN IMPORTED BY LSI, ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA”. The top of the barrel is marked “WARNING: BEFORE USE, READ OWNER’S GUIDE FOR SAFE OPERATION – FREE FROM 10 PRINCE ST., ALEXANDRIA. VA 22313”. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “B064690”. The buttpad is marked “BOYDS’”.
Barrel Length: Approximately 25″, 26. 1/2” to the end of the muzzle brake.
Sights/ Optics: There is a scope attached to the receiver. It is held in place by two screw-on rings. The Scope is a Bausch and Lomb 6-24x40mm. Overall, the scope is in Excellent condition. There is no provision for iron sights.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stock is one-piece wood featuring beavertail forend with large cooling vents and buttstock with Monte Carlo comb, semi-pistol grip and textured black rubber buttpad. The stock has some handling marks, nicks and scratches. Notably, the left side of the forend has some minor nicks. There are no cracks or chips. The LOP is 14” from the trigger to the rear of the buttpad. The buttpad has some minor handling wear. Overall, the stock is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 99% of its finish. There are some minor handling marks but the rifle lacks any notable defects. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp and serviceable. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. The bolt action is smooth. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This Howa model 1500 is a bolt action rifle with 5 round integral magazine chambered for .22-250 Remington. The rifle has a beautifully crafted stock with impressive salt and pepper finish over the wood which blends masterfully with the Stainless Steel components. The Bausch & Lomb 6-24x40mm Scope is nicely crafted and should prove a great accessory when in the field. This rifle is both well suited for hunting and shooting targets at the range.
