Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “Dynamit Nobel Closter, NJ”, “STEYR MANNLICHER AUSTRIA”, “SC1033001, and “STEYR TACTICAL ELITE”. The top of the barrel is marked “.223 Rem.”, with proofs, and the “COW” date code.

Sights / Optics: There are no iron sights. The top of the receiver has a full-length Picatinny rail installed with a B-Square riser, a pair of rings, and a Nikon Monarch UCC 6.5-20×44 scope. The scope has some light handling wear. The glass is clear. The scope has a red or green illuminated mil-dot reticle. It rates in about Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock has a pistol grip, adjustable comb, integral folding bipod, accessory rail on the bottom of the forend, adjustable black rubber buttpad, and storage for the magazine in the buttstock. There are some light handling marks and a couple of scuffs. The LOP measures 13 1/4″ to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad has light wear. Overall, the stock rates about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a couple of faint rubs on the barrel. There is standard operational wear. There are light handling marks. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall this firearm rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included are two 5-round magazines and the previously described scope.
Our Assessment: This is a nice rifle from Steyr and better yet is in Excellent condition showing little signs of use. The SBS Tactical Elite has a matte blued finish, 22.4″ cold hammer-forged barrel, black synthetic stock with an integral bipod, and an oversized bolt handle. The top of the receiver has a full-length Picatinny rail for mounting your favorite accessories and this one comes with a scope already installed. The rifle feeds from 5-round magazines, two of which come included to get you started. This one is in Excellent condition and shows little sign of use. This rifle promises to be a joy at the range and will be stacking dimes for decades to come with proper care. Please see our photos and good luck!
