Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. The design is one of the most beloved and has gone through many design changes such as various barrel lengths and modular frames. This one has a hard chrome finish, beavertail grip safety, skeletonized hammer and trigger, G-10 grips, Novaks sights, and mainspring housing with an extended magazine well. This would make a great defensive handgun, competition gun for single stack, or a new range toy for those who only want the best! Please see our photos and good luck!
