Our Assessment: The Colt Defender is the smallest Colt to date. Despite this, it still has reliable accuracy. The Colt Defender is based off of a design by John Moses Browning, and is a smaller version of the full size 1911 that was adopted by the U.S. Army. Another solid gun from Colt, perfect for the range, collection, or home defense.
