Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “TAYLOR’S & CO. WINCHESTER VA-A. UBERTI-ITALY” and “CAL. 45-60” near the receiver. The bottom of the receiver rear of the lifter is marked with two proof marks and the date code. The upper tang is marked “MODEL.1876”. The lower tang is marked “A.UBERTI-ITALY” and “W53600”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade that is dovetailed and screw set to the barrel. The rear sight is a buckhorn square notch leaf that is elevation adjustable and dovetailed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece smooth wood with a capped forearm, straight grip, straight comb, and a steel crescent buttplate with a gate to a storage compartment. There are some infrequently scattered light draglines and minor compressions, most notable on the belly. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate shows some faint wear at the heel and toe. The stocks rate in about Fine-Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some scattered little nicks and fine scratches on the receiver. There are also a couple minor marks on the barrel. The case coloring is receding from certain corners on the receiver. There is minimal operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine-Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lever lock and safety are present. The hammer has a quarter cock safety position. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
