Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “COLT’S MK IV/SERIES ‘70 / GOVERNMENT MODEL / .45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER”, and features an adjacent Rampant Colt logo. The grips feature Gold medallions with the Rampant Colt logo. The right side of the slide is marked “COLT’S GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and features the serial number “38022B70”. The left side of the trigger guard is marked “U” and “V” while the right side is marked “V”.

Sights/ Optics: There is a pinned serrated blade at the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch which is dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood. The checkering is slightly worn with some dirt caked into the bottom right grip. There are no chips or cracks. Overall the grips are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 85% of its finish. The top of the slide has scattered breaks in the finish, The muzzle has lost some finish, and the frame has some small loss of finish on moving parts. There are some small patches of mild oxidation on the slide, with a notable buildup on the rear sight. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall this pistol is in Very Good – Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, it may need a thorough cleaning to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: There is a magazine included. The bottom of the magazine is marked “19200- / ASSY 5508694 / MFR. 1M291”. There are 5 holes on the sides of the magazine and a slot only on the right side. The magazine has some slight handling wear. Overall the magazine is in Fine condition.
