Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with a Ruger two-line warning over “STURM RUGER & CO. INC.”. The left side of the frame is marked “RUGER VAQUERO / 44-40 WIN CAL.”. The right side of the frame under the cylinder is marked with the serial number “56-11204”.

Barrel Length: 5 1/2”

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a steel blade set into the barrel. The rear sight is a square-notch integral to the topstrap.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood panels with inset Ruger phoenix medallions. The grips have light handling marks, but otherwise are free of any notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Gloss Stainless Steel

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, and the rifling is well-defined. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its current metal finish. The cylinder has an intermittent turn line through the finish along with minor scuffs scattered throughout. The barrel has a few light nicks down its length along with a more notable scuff on the right side near to the muzzle. The screws are sharp, the pins are unmarred, and all markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in Very Good-to-Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks with light play at each stop. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
