Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “1822 – FLORIDA TERRITORY – 1972”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo and “PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871 / JULY 2, 72. JAN. 19, 75”. The underside of the frame is marked with the serial number. The left side of the trigger guard is marked “VP” and “2”. The circumference of the cylinder is are marked “22 L.R.” in three locations.
Barrel Length: 4 3/8”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch at the rear of the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood with gold-colored Colt medallions. The grips have a few scattered minor marks with one more notable nick at the bottom-rear corner of the left panel. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% of its metal finish. The cylinder has a faint, incomplete turn line, not through the finish. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this revolver.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with in a Colt wood Florida Territory Sesquicentennial presentation case with yellow fabric-lined french-fit interior and key for the case. The exterior has scattered nicks, scuffs and scratches, the interior has minor wear from the contents. Overall, the case is in Good-Very Good condition.
Our Assessment: This Florida Commemorative Colt Frontier Scout is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and is in Excellent condition, appearing to have spent more time in its included presentation case than out. Celebrating 150 years since Florida became a US Territory, the revolver and its presentation case make a fine tribute to the Sunshine State.
