Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “243”, “RF / MP” in a box, “MAUSER MODELO / ARGENTINO 1909”, “DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND / MUNITIONSFABRIKEN. BERLIN.” The bottom of the stock is marked “MADE FOR / JAMES DARREN / BY / ROBERTS FIREARMS MFG. / 5-MAY-93”. The top of the barrel is marked “SILE OSSIAN IN”. The custom mount for a scope is marked “LEUPOLD”. The right side of the barrel is marked with the serial number “A 7362”. The buttpad is marked “WHITWORTH”. The bolt has a custom marking on it.
Barrel Length: 24”, The Muzzle has been Customized with an Integral Break.
Sights/ Optics: There is a custom mount for attaching a sight, but no sight is included.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stock is checkered wood with an oiled finish. There are some light handling marks but the stock has no major defects of note. The buttpad is worn with the rubber having become discolored and scattered scratches and nicks on it, but there are no rips or tears and it remains fully functional. There are two loops, one on the butt of the rifle and one at the front end of the stock for equipping a sling. The checkering is sharp. Overall the stock is in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Black with a Jeweled Bolt and Case Colored cap on base of the grip.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 99% of its finish. There are some minor handling marks and some minor wear from storage but overall there are no defects of note. The screws are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The bolt operates smoothly. The safety functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this gun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is Hollywood star James Darren’s customized Mauser mod. Argentina 1909 which was made specifically for him. It was upgraded by Roberts Firearms MFG. in 1993 for the actor and bears little resemblance to the original Mauser. The rifle takes .243 Winchester ammunition and is both beautifully crafted and fully functional. For any Trekkies or fans of the Flintstones, this is a chance to get Darren’s prized Mauser!
