Markings: The top of the receiver is marked “US RIFLE M1A / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY (t)” and features the serial number “165591”. The top of the bolt is marked “7790186-SA / F0012”. The inside right part of the bolt is marked “7287064-2 / SA.” The trigger assembly is marked “7267030-HR-N”. The left side of the inside stock is marked “D-3741 / GB-4 / DT”. The right side of the inside stock is marked “D-3742 GB-4 / DT”.

Sights/ Optics: The rear sight is a fully-adjustable aperture set between protective ears, the face of the right knob is marked “LEFT” twice between alternating curved arrows and “SA” underneath one of the curved arrows. The body of the left knob is marked with numbers 2-11 with an “S” and an “A” between eight and ten and an “M” between ten and eleven. The front sight is a blade set between two protective ears that is dovetailed and screw set to a base which is integral to the installed muzzle brake. The top of the barrel is equipped with a picatinny rail for a long eye relief scope (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The checkered synthetic camouflage pattern stock features a semi pistol grip, a straight comb, a steel buttplate with a storage compartment and flip-up shoulder rest, and the factory sling swivel at the bottom of the forend and a fixed sling swivel at the rear. There is finish loss at the front, bottom portion of the stock where it meets the barrel. The magazine well has some finish loss around the edges. Overall the camo pattern hides most of the small marks well. The stock is in Fine – Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 97% of its finish. There is some light thinning at some of the leading edges. There are some scattered light marks and faint operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp and clear. Overall, the rifle is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory M1A Semi-Automatic Rifle takes .308 Winchester ammunition. It has a camouflage finish perfect for outdoorsmanship including hunting. Unfortunately the magazine is NOT included but otherwise this all you could ask for in a rifle. Goodluck on your bid!
