Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The finish shows thinning at some edges, some wear at the ejection port and some surface scratching to the top of the frame. The pin heads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.
Our Assessment: The Winchester Super-X Model 1 was only produced for eight years, but developed a devoted following in the hunting and target shooting communities. Designed to be self-regulating, the action should function with a variety of loads of different power. This example is a Trap model, equipped with a 30? Full “TRAP” choke barrel and select walnut stocks with monte-carlo comb.
In Fine condition with 95% of its finish remaining, this shotgun looks to have seen very light use, retaining strong mechanics and a great bore.
It should make for a great trap gun for the lucky winner.
