Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “MODEL 101–WINCHESTER-12 GAUGE-2¾”/MADE IN JAPAN” and “MOD” on the top barrel, “IMP. CYLD” on the bottom barrel. There is also a “5” and “NK” encircled proof mark on the barrel mechanics. On both barrels the same Winchester proof mark and a S-and-P proof mark are marked. The right side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER®/NEW HAVEN. CONN.”, “H99” on the top barrel, and “J7” on the bottom barrel. A floral scroll is marked on both sides of the barrel. The underside of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”, “B” and “12-2¾” in an oval. The receiver is marked “OlinKodensha/Co.Ltd” . The receiver is engraved on all sides by an elegant floral scroll pattern, the same which appears on the underside of the trigger guard. The upper tang of the receiver is marked “K129515” underneath the top lever, the inside of the receiver is marked “6”, underneath the safety is marked “S”, and to the left of the safety is marked “U”. “129515” is marked on the forearm hardware, the wood of the forearm, the underside of the barrel. A Japanese character is also marked upon the wood.

Choke: The top barrel is Modified, and the bottom barrel is Improved Cylinder.
Sights / Optics: There is a silver-colored bead at the muzzle on the top of a ventilated rib attached to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a checkered two-piece, capped flat-bottom semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and checkered black Winchester buttplate. The underside of the forearm is engraved with a floral scroll. There are scattered nicks, scratches, and scuffs all throughout the stocks, with some noticeable scratches near the belly on the right side of the butt stock and on the lower-right of the forearm. The pistol grip shows darkening from use. The butt plate shows some minor use, specifically around the edge. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in about Fine-Excellent Overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish exhibits light operational wear. There are scattered nicks and scratches. Notably, there is a scratch on the left side of the bottom barrel. There are some spots of very light surface frosting, mostly to the bottom of the receiver. No deep pitting. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are sharp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
