Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “MODEL 685/ .410/ 3”/ CHAMBER PROOF TESTED/ MADE BY NEW SKB ARMS COMPANY JAPAN”. The left side of the receiver features a 24 karat gold plated scene with roller engraved arabesque scroll, a distinctive engraving pattern for target models and hand etched pivots. The right side of the receiver features a 24 karat gold plated scene with roller engraved arabesque scroll, a distinctive engraving pattern for target models and hand etched pivots. The bottom of the receiver features a distinctive engraving pattern for target models and hand etched pivots with “SKB” engraved. The trigger guard is also engraved and features the word “TARGET”. The forend lever and top lever are engraved. The safety is engraved. The buttplate is marked “SKB”.

Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a white bead at the muzzle and a small mid bead on a ventilated rib. The barrel is serrated to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are wood and feature a rolled checkering pattern with hand cut detail. The stocks show only very minor wear from storage and assembly. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: The barrel is blue while the receiver is silver.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only minor wear from storage. There is one tiny mark though the finish on the underside of the barrel and another a small patch of surface frosting on the right side of the vent rib about midway. The screw heads are tight and unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
