Our Assessment: Great guns are born of great designers and are built by great manufactures. The Sharps design is a time tested action, strong, reliable and accurate – used to this day in long range competitions across the country. Shiloh makes the best modern falling block rifles, period. One could even say that Shiloh is one of the best modern American gun makers and is a company finally building guns again today the way they were built 150 years ago. The 45-110 is a serious cartridge, 110 Grains of black powder, and this rifle will allow you to shoot all of the .45’s smaller than 110 too (60, 70, 90, 100 . . .) We love Shiloh’s here, in case you couldn’t tell, and you will too after owning this rifle.
