Our Assessment: The Remington 700 needs no introduction. It has been one of the most popular bolt action rifles in America for decades, seeing use in target shooting, hunting, and in law enforcement and has been produced in just about any caliber and configuration you could think of. This one is an early C&R example with the square safety selector, different profile bolt handle, and a one-piece sear. This example is chambered in .308 Winchester and would make a great hunting or target shooting rifle. This is a classic Remington rifle in a classic caliber and better still it’s C&R eligible!
