Markings: the left side of the barrel is marked with a logo “MARCA/ EL CHIMBO/ RESSTRADA”. The underside of the left barrel is marked “1100 Kgs”, with “BP” in a box. The left side of the receiver, concealed by the barrel, is marked with the serial number “59583”. The right side of the barrel is marked “SUCESOR DE E. GUISASOLA- EIBAR SPAIN” with the logo“MARCA/ EL CHIMBO/ RESSTRADA”. The bottom of the right barrel is marked “X”. The right side of the receiver, concealed by the barrel, is marked “42” and with an “X” in a box. The lug is marked with the serial number “59583” and “(410-76)/ K.L./ 42”.

Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a bead at the muzzle and the barrel is serrated to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are wooden with a checkered finish. There are minor scratches and nicks, notably there are a few scratches on the top of the stock, but there is no major damage to the stock. The checkering is soft. The LOP measures 14” from the front trigger to the back of the stock and 13 ½” from the rear trigger to the back of the stock. The stocks rate in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 80% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some light wear on the receiver at the takedown thumb latch. There is some light finish loss at the muzzle. There are minor scratches and nicks but no other significant damage to the metal finish. The screw heads are tight and unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions properly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This El Chimbo features a leather Boyt adjustable sling attached to it. The Sling is in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: El Chimbo is a Spanish shotgun from the 1950s which is .410 caliber and can hold 3” shells. The is well suited for small game hunting or even pest control. The Shotgun was produced in Francoist Spain in the 1950s and is a unique historical artifact, and it has an appeal for collectors. Goodluck on the bids!
