Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER”, “MADE IN GERMANY”, and “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER – NH”. The right side of the slide is marked with the serial number “U 770 562”, and eagle over “N” proof mark, and “P226 S”. The right side of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “9mm Para”, the left is marked “SIG SAUER” with two German proofs and “AH” date code. The right side of the frame is marked “DE”, the serial number “U 770 562”, and an eagle over “N” proof mark. Both grip panels are marked “SIG SAUER”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a red fiber optic bead dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a serrated square-notch adjustable for elevation and windage pinned to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece textured black plastic that wrap around the backstrap, leaving the checkered frontstrap exposed. The grip shows only minor handling marks, but otherwise has no notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Fine condition.

Finish Originality: The frame’s finish is Original, the slide has been Refinished.
Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is well-defined. There is no erosion, but there is light stubborn fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its current metal finish. There are scattered light nicks, most notable on the top of the slide forward of the ejection port, light thinning on the slide edges near to the muzzle, and some minor finish loss in the left side slide serrations. The screws show minor tool marks with sharp slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Fine condition, as refinished.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol includes a cardboard box with serial-matching labels, a black plastic Sig Sauer snap-case and one (1) 17-round magazine. The cardboard box shows light wear from storage with a few creases on the top flap, some tears on the rear panel and rates in Very Good condition. The black snap-case shows minor handling marks, but is otherwise free of any notable wear or damage, and rates in Excellent condition. The magazine has minor operational wear, a strong spring, intact feed lips, and rate in Excellent condition.
