Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with the Taurus logo and “TAURUS® INT. MFG. INC. / MIAMI, FL.”. The right side of the slide is marked “FORJAS TAURUS S.A. / MADE IN BRAZIL”, the serial number “LAR10483” and “”PT 38S / .38 SUPER AUTO”. The right side of the chamber is marked with the serial number “LAR10483”. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number “LAR10483”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white dot, screwed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two white dots, dovetailed to the rear of the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece faux Mother of Pearl. Each one is beautiful in design and look. The right grip has a slight rough spot at the edge of the decocker scallop. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Fine Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are light scuffs from handling on the slide and frame. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this pistol is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The manual safety, when on, will not allow the slide to be opened. The safety lever also functions as a de-cocker, allowing the user to drop the hammer without firing the pistol. This gun has the Taurus Security System (TSS) internal lock, which disables the gun actioning when engaged, and works as designed. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a black with white lettering, serial matched, one piece box with tuck-in flaps, a safety/instruction booklet, a total of two 10-round magazines, a set of black rubber checkered Taurus grips, cleaning accessories, and a key for the TSS locking system. The magazines show light wear from use with strong springs and intact feed lips, in Fine condition. The box is in Very Good condition with light scuffing at the corners from use and storage.
Our Assessment: The PT-38S utilizes the Model PT-945 alloy frame and this one has stainless and gold finish, 3-dot fixed sights, 10 shot magazines and smooth faux mother-of-pearl grips.
