Markings: The right side of the frame is marked “SPRINGFIELD INC / GENESEO IL USA / NM 198779”. The right side of the slide is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” followed by the Springfield Armory crossed cannon logo and is also marked “TRP” behind the slide serrations. The top of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “S.A. .45 ACP”. The left side of the slide is marked “OPERATOR / CAL. 45” and is also marked “TRP” behind the slide serrations. The left side of the dust cover is marked “TACTICAL”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon serrated blade with a tritium lamp and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is an Trijicon serrated square notch target sight with two tritium lamps and is dovetailed into the slide. The lamps are bright and easily acquired in low-light environments.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The installed grips are sand paper textured panels. There are a few spots where the texturing has worn off, most noticeable on the left panel above and below the top screw and on the right panel on the top front corner. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore .
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some little scuffs and light scratches on the slide, most noticeable on the left side. There is finish loss on the edges, most noticeable on the front of the slide and on the accessory rail. There is a bit of thinning on the controls. There are standard operational marks. The screw sockets and heads are sharpto lightly used. The markings are strong. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included with this handgun is a serial number matching factory case, paperwork including the manual, and an 8-round magazine. The magazine has a few light marks, in about Fine Plus condition. There are some light marks scattered over the case, in about Fine condition.
Our Assessment: This is a great tactical pistol with a skeletonized trigger and hammer, beavertail extended grip safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, full-length guide-rod, target night sights, forward slide serrations, beveled extended magazine well, and a picatinny rail. With its all-steel construction and rail, recoil should be minimal and fast follow-up shots easy. The target/night sights will allow you precisely zero the gun for your intended use and the tritium lamps are a nice touch. The pistol is in Fine condition and comes with its original case, ready for carry, competition or recreational target shooting.
