Markings: The top of the left barrel is marked “MODEL 385 28GA 2-¾” CHAMBER PROOF TESTED / MADE BY NEW SKB ARMS COMPANY JAPAN”. The barrel flats are marked with the serial number, “NS 42899”, twice with “C” and “NP”, and “3888C”. The interior forend iron is marked with the serial number, “NS 42899” as is the left side of the water table. The receiver and exterior forend iron feature floriate engraving and game scenes. The buttpad is marked “PACHMAYR”.
Barrel Length: 28” with textured barrel rib.
Choke: Both barrels are threaded, and Cylinder is installed in both.
Sights/Optics: There is a gold bead fixed to the front of the barrel rib. The top of the rib is textured to reduce glare.
Weight: 7lb, 5.2oz
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stocks are two-piece wood with checkered pistol grip and beavertail forend, fluted straight comb, and a textured black rubber buttpad. The grip cap has intermittent nicks along the edge. The buttstock otherwise has scattered minor nicks most notable on the left side. The forend has a few minor draglines on the underside. The checkering is well-defined. There are no chips or cracks. The drop at comb is 1 5/8”, the drop at heel is 2 3/4”. The cast is just slightly off. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad, and 13 3/4” to the wood. There is wear at the heel and toe. Overall, the stocks rate in Very Good-to-Fine condition.

Bore Condition: Both bores are bright and there is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 94% of its metal finish. Stainless surfaces are free of any notable wear or damage, and the barrels have scattered light nicks and scuffs with intermittent minor surface oxidation along the barrel rib. Screws show minor tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Very Good-to-Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lock up is tight with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
