Our Assessment: This is a special edition 3rd Generation Single Action Army revolver produced in 1984, originally in collaboration with Winchester. While the original idea was to have a matched pair of a Winchester 94 and a Colt SAA, two of the most iconic firearms of the American West, both chambered for the .44-40 cartridge. In 1986, the Winchester/Colt Single Action Army could be purchased separately from the rifle. This appears to be one of these separate revolvers in a beautiful display case. Somehow, the bore has acquired some erosion, which is odd because there is little other sign of use. This of course will not have any effect on the revolver as a display, and it will make for a great addition to any collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
