Markings: The left shoulder of the barrel is marked “.45 LC”. The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number “AM190208”. The upper tang is marked “PUMA M92 IMPORTED BY / LSI ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA”. The lower tang is marked “A.ROSSI S.A.-MADE IN BRAZIL”.

Barrel Length: 24” Octagonal

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a brass face that’s integral to a serrated base and dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a buckhorn elevator sight with a reversible V/U-notch leaf that has a white diamond aim guide. The left side of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled in one place for mounting a sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece smooth wood with a capped forearm, straight grip and comb, and a crescent steel buttplate. The only visible imperfections are a compression on the left side upper edge of the forearm and a tiny nick on the left side of the buttstock. The wood is a bit shy to the buttplate at the heel and toe. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the case colored buttplate, which shows no notable wear. The stocks rate in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is well defined. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no significant wear or damage. There is faint operational wear. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer has a quarter cock safety position. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This is a very clean Puma M92 manufactured by Rossi. With 99% of its original finish remaining, it doesn’t seem as though this rifle saw much use. The lever locks up tightly and the bore is bright with strong rifling. Please see our photos and good luck!
