Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “ECLIPSE CUSTOM II”. The right side of the frame is marked “KIMBER, YONKERS, NY USA / K138938” behind the slide stop pin. The top of the chamber visible through the ejection port is marked “.45 ACP”. The left side of the slide is marked “Kimber”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a tritium lamp and is dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch low mount-style sight with two tritium lamps and a serrated rear face; it is dovetailed and screw set to the rear of the slide. The lamps are bright and easily acquired in low light environments.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips two-piece double diamond checkered dark wood panels. There are light marks on the smooth portions. The checkering is strong. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is light handling and light operational wear. There are some scuffs and rubs that have caused smooth spots. Some of the most noticeable marks are on the sides and top of the slide. There are marks on the side of the frame and slide from takedown. There is light wear on the controls. The grip screws are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
Box & Accessories: This pistol comes with a 7-round Kimber magazine, paperwork including the manual, and a serial matching hard case. The magazine has some light wear from use and rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Our Assessment: For 40 years, Kimber has been producing some of the finest 1911-style pistols in America and this is no exception. This particular pistol comes packed with features such as front and rear slide serrations, extended beavertail grip safety, full-length stainless guide-rod, skeletonized hammer and trigger, checkered front and backstraps, and of course, Kimber quality. This example is in Fine Plus condition showing signs of light use and comes with one magazine. This is a beautiful gun in high condition and would make an excellent addition to any collection, but where it will really shine is in competition shooting such as single-stack division in USPSA or bowling pin matches.
