Markings: The stop of the barrel is marked with a Ruger warning over “STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. / SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A.”. The left side of the barrel is marked with “270 WIN” and a Ruger proof mark. The top of the receiver is marked “RUGER / No. 1”. The underside left of the receiver is marked with the serial number “134-24763”. The grip cap is marked with a Ruger logo. The buttpad is marked “KICK-EEZ”.

Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The barrel rib is notched for Ruger rings on which is mounted an Eagle Eye Optics Co. 6-24x scope with duplex reticle. The scope body shows scattered minor nicks most notable in the objective lens serrations. The glass is fairly clear, and overall, the scope rates in Fine condition.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a two-piece checkered wood with pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and black rubber Kick-eez buttpad. There are sling swivels on the belly of the buttstock and forend. There is a series of light nicks and compressions and a more notable nick on the underside of the forend, and there are intermittent light nicks along the edge of the butt. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP is 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad, and 12” from the front of the trigger to the baxk of the wood. The buttpad shows light wear at the heel and toe. Overall, the stock rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are light handling marks, but otherwise this rifle is free of any notable wear or damage. The screws show minor tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
