Our Assessment: This trio of firearms are just plain spectacular. Each features fine foliate engraving and finely detailed images of Nevada that celebrate the state’s 125th anniversary. Each gun is a great example of its type—a Ruger revolver, a Winchester rifle, and a Browning shotgun, in this case a matching trio with rather beautiful customization by Mark Armstrong Engraving of Rapid City, SD. This set is number 28 of only 125 and were once owned by the late philanthropist Barron Hilton, CEO of the Hilton Hotels Corporation, and this auction includes a certified letter of authenticity from the Hilton estate. Each of these firearms are in Fine or better condition, but weren’t just show pieces—it’s clear that Mr. Hilton enjoyed these greatly, and who wouldn’t? Imagine yourself on the range with these, looking for all the world like the coolest person anyone has ever had the privilege to know. You know you would—and that’s hot. Good luck and happy bidding.
