Markings: The left side of the slide has a Nighthawk logo next to “NIGHTHAWK / CUSTOM”, the right side is marked “PREDATOR II”. The barrel, visible through the ejection port, is marked “NIGHTHAWK / MATCH 45 ACP”. The right side of the frame is marked “NIGHTHAWK CUSTOM BERRYVILLE, AR USA / NHC10369”.
Barrel Length: 4 ¼”, Wafer Crowned, Match Grade
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a black blade with a single tritium insert. The rear sight is a square notch Heine brand base with two tritium inserts and a serrated rear face. Both sights are dovetailed into the slide and the rear sight has a set screw. The front lamp is dead and the rear lamps are dim and nearly dead. The top of the slide is serrated and the rear is checkered for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered double diamond wood with Nighthawk logos. There are some scattered nicks, scratches, and scrapes. Some of the defects have damaged or removed surface wood, most noticeable on the right panel down at the bottom and left panel at the bottom of the rear edge. The checkering is mostly strong with flat tops as from factory. The grips rate in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 94% of its metal finish. There is some thinning on the edges. There are some scuffs and marks through the finish on the bottom of the slide at the front. There are impact marks on the rear sight. There is some thinning on the edges. There is a bit of mottled thinning. There are some marks on the thumb safety. There is operational thinning on the controls. There are a few nicks on the back edge of the beavertail safety. There is a light mark on the frame from takedown. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are mostly clear, the markings on the chamber are a bit light. Overall, this handgun rates in about Very Good-Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The frame to slide fit is snug. The trigger is crisp with a tactile reset. The pistol has a beavertail safety with an indexing bump, skeletonized hammer, skeletonized trigger, full-length guide rod, and a coned wafered barrel. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included are nine Nighthawk Custom 8-round magazines, spare springs, paperwork including an invoice from the refinish & test target, and a green zippered soft case. Five mags have metal bump pad baseplates and the others are plastic. The bump pads have scattered dings and nicks and some of the metal ones have finish loss and light oxidation. The bodies have operational wear and the mags rate in about Very Good-Fine condition.
Our Assessment: Nighthawk Custom is among a small group of the best manufacturers of custom and semi-custom 1911s in the world including Wilson Combat, Ed Brown and Les Baer. This pistol is an excellent example of why they have earned this reputation. Nighthawk has combined the most desired upgrades including front and back strap checkering, bobtail mainspring housing, extended beavertail grip safety, beveled magazine well, extended thumb safety, night sights and skeletonized hammer and trigger with their legendary craftsmanship quality. Quality that will make this an excellent defensive pistol to which you can trust your life. This one has an invoice that states it was refinshed in 2012 and was installed with an Everlast recoil system. This pistol has seen some use but is ready for more.
