Our Assessment: Quoted from the Browning website “It has been noted that you can use a field or hunting-style shotgun for shooting trap, skeet or sporting clays, but seldom would you use a sporting shotgun for hunting. There are fine peculiarities in a sporting-type shotgun that won’t be found on hunting models. The Sporting shotguns in the Browning line make busting clay birds much easier. Here are some reasons why, particularly with the Cynergy Sporting. First, it has ventilated top and side ribs which allow easier swinging on targets. The Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones allows the shot to spread and economize as it travels down the barrel to the choke constriction. Lengthened forcing cones also prevent each pellet from becoming flattened or deformed. A deformed pellet will not fly straight and serious target shooters cannot afford any stray pellets. Back-boring a barrel increases bore diameter to its maximum specification, reducing friction between the shot cup and the barrel to propel the shot pellets to a higher velocity/ Back-boring also helps to reduce the recoil into your shoulder. Removable choke tubes are critical to any serious shooter. They can be flush or extended. Extended tubes allow the shot to focus, spread and center, prior to leaving the muzzle. Highly visible, light-gathering sights and beads along wide, flat ribs contribute to picking up the bird when split seconds count.” This 12 gauge Cynergy Sporting shows more signs of storage than actual use, retaining about 98% of its metal finish, bright bores, strong mechanics and with just a hint of handling wear in the stocks. Please see our photos and good luck!
