Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.”. The barrel is marked “CAL. 9m/mL / 245PZ77245″. The front strap is marked “245PZ77245”. The right front of the trigger guard is marked with Belgian proofs. The left front of the trigger guard is marked “N”. The right side of the slide is marked “MADE IN BELGIUM / BY FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL”. The bottom left and right side of the mainspring housing is marked with poorly struck factory markings.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated, ramped blade dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered walnut. The grips have minor handling wear with only a few scattered light marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Fine-plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The action has minor operational wear. There are some infrequent tiny nicks scattered about. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. It has a safety mounted on the left side of the frame. The magazine disconnect functions properly. The trigger is crisp. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a black Browning zipper case and two 13-round magazines. The Browning marking on the case has worn away somewhat but can still be made out. There is scattered light wear on the exterior, wear on the interior from the pistol, and the zipper functions correctly, in about Very Good-Fine condition. One of the magazines is marked “MEC-GAR” under the company logo and “MG-BRHP-13” on the left side, “MADE IN ITALY” on the belly, and “13” on the right. The Mec-Gar magazine shows little wear and rates in about Fine-Plus condition. The other magazine shows scattered draglines and light surface oxidation, in about Very Good condition. Please note, no magazine will be included for purchasers who reside where it cannot be legally transferred.
Our Assessment: This Browning Hi Power was manufactured in 1981 and it is in Fine-Excellent condition. These are well built pistols that are good for self defense as well as target shooting at the range. This pistol comes in a black Browning soft case with a total of two magazines (not included where prohibited by law). Please see our photos and good luck!
