Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “DIAMONDBACK / .38 SPECIAL CTG”. The right side of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”. The crane cut and the crane are marked with the serial number. The side plate is marked with a “Rampant Colt” logo. The left of the trigger guard is marked with “VP” in a triangle.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated, ramped blade integral to the rib at the front. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable for windage and elevation in a base pinned to the top strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece walnut grips with gold-colored Colt medallions. The grips have some scattered light nicks, scuffs, and scratches, most around the edges. There are no chips or cracks present. The checkering is sharp. Overall, the grips are in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. Light handling and storage marks are present, there are no signs of significant damage. The cylinder shows a very faint drag line that has not scratched through the finish. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lockup on this revolver is SOLID, with little to no play. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a two-piece faux-wood cardboard Colt box with a non-matching serial number hand-written on the bottom and an assortment of factory paperwork including manual. The box has scattered storage wear, heaviest at edges and corners, in about Good-plus condition.
