There is a visible dragline on the cylinder, which can be barely felt. There are a few minor surface rubs on the left side of the frame and barrel at the seam. The screw heads are sharp and undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Fine to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly both single and double action. The lockup is good with just a little wobble. We did not fire this gun.
Box & Accessories: None
Our Assessment: This is one of those great “like a Python” .357 Magnums from Colt. With an unfluted cylinder, ported barrel and full length rib, this gun should be quite a shooter and even more to the collector. This is a Colt Python barrel on a Colt King Cobra frame. Only 500 of these revolvers were made, making them amongst the rarest of all the Colts. Attention California Colt revolver collectors – this could be your last chance.
