Markings: The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number at the breech and “Remington / MODEL 700LH” at the midsection. The left side of the barrel is marked “WARNING-READ INSTRUCTION BOOK FOR SAFE OPERATION-FREE FROM / REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC. ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.” followed by “223 REM” and is also marked with an inspection mark followed by “XS BP”. The right side of the barrel is marked with magnaflux, proof, and test marks at the breech. The bolt is matched to the rifle and the bottom is marked “7644”.

Barrel Length: 21” Heavy, Custom Cut & Recrowned

Sights / Optics: The barrel has no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is installed with a one-piece picatinny rail and two-piece rings holding a Burris 3-9×40 scope. The scope has some light rubs and handling wear. The scope has a Ballistic Plex reticle and the glass is clear. The scope rates in about Fine Plus condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a McMillan aftermarket stock with a desert camo finish, pistol grip, fluted monte carlo comb, textured forend, and pistol grip, and a solid black rubber McMillan buttpad. There are some scattered scuffs and draglines. There are some spots of light discoloration from use. There are a few scrapes through the finish, the most noticeable is on the left side of the stock at the floorplate. The texturing is strong. The LOP measures approximately 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the solid black rubber basketweave buttpad. The buttpad has only light wear from responsible use. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are some little nicks into the finish on the barrel, most noticeable at about the midsection. The receiver has some brownish discoloration that is common with this Remington finish. The bolt has some little scuffs on the knob. There is some mottled discoloration on the recut crown that appears touched up. There is standard operational wear. The trigger guard has scrapes that have been touched up. The markings are strong. The screw heads have strong sockets. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The trigger is light and crisp. The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a tan nylon sling in about Excellent condition and the previously described Burris scope.
