Action Type: Top-Break Over/Under Shotgun with Single Selective Trigger (mechanical) and Ejectors (see Mechanics)

Markings: The left side of each top barrel is marked “MODEL 101 – WINCHESTER – 20 GAUGE – 2 3/4″ / MADE IN JAPAN”, with the second barrel set marked “28 GAUGE – 2 3/4″” and the third “410 GAUGE 2 1/2″”. The left of each barrel is marked “SKEET” with an ovalled “WP” proof. The bottom of each bottom barrel is marked “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. The bottom of each monoblock is marked “253427” with “1” on the 20 gauge barrel set, “2” on the 28 and “3” on the .410. The top of each forend iron is marked “253427”, again having “1”, “2” and “3”, respectively. The inside of each forend has “253427” stamped in the front. The top tang is marked “K253427”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “Olin Kodensha / Co. Ltd” and the water table is marked with an ovalled “WP” proof. The receiver, trigger guard, exposed portions of the forend iron and the barrel shoulders have decorative scroll and floral engraving.

Barrel Length: 28” With Ventilated Ribs, the 20 Gauge barrel set is ported.

Choke: All barrels are choked Skeet, fixed.

Sights / Optics: There is a white bead in a base at the front of each rib and each has a smaller brass mid-bead. The top of the ribs are finely checkered to reduce glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with semi-beavertail forends, straight comb, capped pistol grip and solid black rubber Kick-Eez buttpad. The buttstock has scattered nicks, scuffs and scratches with a loss on the right flat of the wrist at the front edge. The 20 Gauge forend has similar scattered marks with a crack on the left at the corner of the forend iron. The 20 Gauge forend has a gap to the iron/receiver at the rear edge. The 28 Gauge forend has similar scattered marks with a thin crack at the rear edge on the right and a more notable ding at the rear edge on the left. The 410 forend has scattered light marks with repaired chip-losses at the top-rear corner on each side. The 410 forend has a slight gap to the iron/receiver at the rear edge. The checkering is well defined. The LOP measures 13 1/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad, 12 1/4″ to the back of the wood. The drop at comb is approximately 1 3/8″, drop at heel 2 1/8″, consistent across all three barrel sets. The cast is about neutral. The pad is still supple with light wear. Overall, the stocks are in about Good condition as repaired.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This shotgun set retains about 85% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at all edges. The most notable finish loss is handling wear on the receiver, most toward the bottom-front. The receiver has a few scattered light nicks and scuffs with infrequent minor surface oxidation. The guard is mostly worn to white with the trigger guard showing some surface oxidation. The barrel sets show minor finish wear with some scattered light nicks and scratches, most notable on the 28 gauge set, and some minor surface oxidation, most notable on the 28 gauge set. The action shows operational wear. The 20 Gauge forend assembly is missing the ejector spring assembly for the bottom ejector. The screw heads are tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun set is in about Good-Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The 20 gauge barrel set locks up to the receiver with barely perceptible play, the other barrels lock up to the receiver with no play. The 20 gauge barrel set is missing the ejector spring assembly for the bottom barrel. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This three gauge set comes in a wood case with brass latches, brass corner bolsters, carry handle and interior fit for the three barrel sets, stocked receiver and an accessory compartment, the interior lined in blue fabric. Included in the case are two magnet-attached green fiber-optic front sights. The case has scattered storage wear with nicks, dings, scrapes and scratches on the exterior, the interior shows wear from the contents, in about Good-plus overall condition.
