Markings: The bottom of the barrel is marked “50”. The top tang is marked “LONE STAR RIFLE INC. / CONROE TX USA”. The bottom tang is marked with the serial number “22137”.

Barrel Length: 30” Octagon

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade at the muzzle. The rear sight features a  “V” notch blade with a flip up aperture style blade adjustable for elevation. A blank dovetail midway down the dovetail is present.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece smooth wood walnut stocks feature a case colored semi Schnabel forend tip and crescent buttplate. Light handling and storage marks are present with a small loss at the heel of the buttstock at the edge of the buttplate tang. There are no cracks present. The LOP measures 13 ¼” from the front of the trigger to he back of the case colored buttplate. The buttplate shows light wear with vivid color. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish remaining. Light handling and storage marks are present on the surfaces. The top of the barrel in front of the front sight shows moderate finish loss. There are a couple of light patches of pinprick erosion present on the barrel. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly.  We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
