Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The rear face of the cylinder is marked “S 119118”, the rear face of the crane is marked “119118”, the butt is marked “S 119118”, the underside of the ejector star is marked “119118”. The right side of the sideplate is marked with the S&W logo. The right side of the frame is marked with the four line Marcas Registradas address. The right side of the barrel is marked “S.&W. 357 MAGNUM”. The crane, crane cut and sides of the grip frame have inspection marks. The interior of the underlug is marked “S119118”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a ramped serrated blade to integral to a ramped base on the barrel rib. The rear sight is an S&W micrometer click square notch adjustable for windage and elevation. The barrel rib, ramp, rear sight tang and the topstrap are finely checkered to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece aftermarket smooth mother of pearl grips. There are is a chip loss on the left panel at the top where the front strap widens into the frame and another on the bottom edge of the left panel at the rear. There is light handling wear. The grips are proud to the butt and the top shanks present small gaps. Overall, the grips are in about Very Good condition as not original to the revolver.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is strong with a bit of light edge wear. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 87% of its metal finish. There are some spots of light pinprick erosion and some spots of finish loss from previous oxoidation, some of the most noticeable are on the left of the frame and on the left side of the barrel at the muzzle. There are some spots of light frost. There are some scuffs that have thinned the finish lightly, some of the most noticeable are on the barrel. There are some scattered light scuffs, draglines, and swirls. The left side of the frame on the edge above the grip has some marks into the metal. The edges have thinning. The screw heads are lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup produces light side to side play on each chamber with the trigger depressed. The double action trigger is smooth, the single action crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
