Markings: The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and a proof. The right side of the slide is marked with the serial number and “P220 / MADE IN W. GERMANY”. The right side of the chamber is marked “.38 Super Auto”. The bottom of the slide in front of the dust cover has proofs and the date code. The left of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER” and “SIGARMS INC. / Herndon, VA”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a recessed white dot and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with a white alignment reference and is dovetailed into the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black plastic  two-piece panels with smooth borders that enclose the backstrap. The grips have light handling wear with no major defects. The checkering is sharp. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few rubs from use and storage. There is standard operational wear. There are a few oil marks, most noticeable on the serial number. The screw heads are sharp with faint evidence of use. The markings are strong and clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
