Our Assessment: Colt’s Model 1873, the Single Action Army, is the “gun that won the west”, perhaps the most iconic handgun of all time. For nearly 150 years, the gun has been produced in a variety of configurations, finishes and calibers. This revolver is the absolute closest to a Colt you can get without a pony on the side. Produced by US Firearms in the old Colt plant in Hartford, Connecticut “under the blue dome” and 100% US made, this USFA Sheriff’s Model single action is a beauty to behold and one of the finest single action revolvers ever produced. It is in Excellent condition with 98% of its beautiful nickel finish, a bright bore with sharp rifling and strong mechanics. It comes in a USFA box with bag and manual. If you want a “Colt” made better than Colt, this is your best option. As USFA is no longer in business, these high quality revolvers are not only less common than real Colts, but ones in this condition are becoming more scarce every day. Please see our photos and good luck!
